The Clue Cabinet
Granny Maple gave one of her mysterious little winks, and almost at once the cabinet began to glow.
This seemed, at first glance, like an ordinary cupboard.
It was not.
Tilly gasped, Sir Bark-A-Lot began sniffing the floorboards as if clues might leak out, and Admiral Whiskers looked as though he had known about the whole thing all along.
I sharpened my pencil immediately.
Every proper Sparkly Expedition begins with a clue.
And this one, I strongly suspected, was going to be important.
