What follows is the Great Lizzy Search, a family-and-village-wide mission involving sofas, cupboards, the garage, the rubbish bin, neighbours, shops, pastries, the playground, therapists, doctors, and one very suspicious cabbage. With timeless narration, gentle wit, and emotional honesty, the story celebrates neurodivergent communication, family understanding, comfort objects, and the quiet truth that what may seem small to others can mean the whole world to a child. A typical day at home is never boring in the Star Family house. Mum helps Yasmeen and Farhaan with their homeschool work, cooks spaghetti, keeps an eye on Ariadne, answers questions, stirs sauce, finds pencils, and somehow tries to do everything at once. Ariadne joins in with the cooking, and soon spaghetti becomes part of the floor, the table, and possibly the story.
