The FIRST NeurodivergentStory In Our Library:

QUIET LITTLE STORIES: QUIET DAYS

Little Bear does not need many words to have a full heart. In Quiet Days, he spends a soft, still day with Little Mouse in their cosy woodland world, where togetherness is gentle, silence is understood, and nobody has to explain too much. There are warm blankets, tiny cups, soft leaves, quiet corners, and the peaceful feeling of being close to someone who simply stays. This first story introduces children to the heart of Quiet Little Stories — a world where being quiet is not something to fix, but something tender, valid, and beautifully enough.

Created especially for neurodivergent children who may be non-verbal, minimally verbal, sensory-sensitive, or comforted by visual storytelling, this picture-led book offers a calm reading experience with very few words and deeply soothing illustrations. Quiet Days gently reminds children that they can be loved without speaking, understood without performing, and safe exactly as they are. It is a soft beginning to the series — a little book about quiet companionship, emotional safety, and the simple magic of being together.

Quiet Little Stories: Loud Days

Some days, the world feels too full — leaves rustle, birds flutter, voices sound bigger, and even small noises can feel like too much. In Loud Days, Little Bear and Little Mouse move through a noisy woodland moment with closeness, patience, and care.

This story supports children who experience noise sensitivity, sensory overload, or the need for a quieter space. It helps children feel that loud days are real, their feelings make sense, and it is always okay to seek comfort, calm, and a softer place to be.

Quiet Little Stories: Angry Days
Quiet Little Stories: Flappy Days

Little Bear has a big feeling day. His paws feel busy, his body feels full, and the feeling inside him is too large to keep still. Little Mouse stays nearby, not trying to hurry the feeling away, but simply letting Little Bear be seen.

Angry Days is a validating story for children who experience frustration, overwhelm, meltdowns, or strong emotional waves. It shows that anger does not make a child bad — it is a feeling that needs space, safety, time, and understanding.

Little Bear’s body has something to say. His paws flap, his joy rises, and his movement becomes part of how he feels, thinks, and settles. Little Mouse watches with warmth, sharing the moment without asking Little Bear to stop.

Flappy Days celebrates stimming, body expression, and the beautiful ways children regulate, communicate, and experience joy. This story tells children that their movements are not strange or wrong — they are part of who they are and how they shine.

Quiet Little Stories: Hiding Days

Some days, Little Bear needs a small place. A leafy den, a blanket nook, a quiet corner — somewhere safe where the world feels softer and smaller. Little Mouse waits nearby, offering presence without pressure.

Hiding Days honours the need to retreat, rest, and recover. It is for children who seek small spaces, sensory safety, or time away from too much sound, movement, or attention. The story reminds them that hiding is not disappearing — it can be a way of feeling safe again.

Quiet Little Stories: Glow Days
Quiet Little Stories: Slow Days

As the woodland grows dim, tiny lights begin to shine. Fireflies, lanterns, moonlight, and soft shadows fill the world around Little Bear and Little Mouse. Together, they discover that darkness can feel calm when it is filled with warmth and wonder.

Glow Days is for children who are soothed by dim spaces, soft lights, night-time calm, and magical little details. It creates a quiet visual world where children can feel held, settled, and comforted by the beauty of small glowing things.

Little Elephant does not move quickly, and that is perfectly okay. While the safari world stretches wide around him, Little Giraffe stays close, allowing each step to happen in its own time.

Slow Days is a story about moving at your own pace, taking your time, and being supported without being rushed. It is for children who need more time to transition, respond, walk, process, or begin — and for every grown-up learning to slow down beside them.
